A "service call" is an onsite visit of up to 30 minutes. At the end of that time, if we haven't fixed your problem, we'll give you an estimate of what it will take, and you can decide whether it's a "go" or "no go."

"Bench work" is work done in our shop. We're always happy to come to you, but if you've got a problem that might take a few hours to deal with, or if we don't have the parts immediately available, we can take the computer with us, fix it up, and bring it back. Since this is an inconvenience to you, we charge lower rates for this service.  Or you can save the service call charge by dropping off the computer, always check with us first.
